Gurleen Puri to share insights on ‘Wedding Planning’ at Cannes International

Gurleen Puri
Gurleen Puri, one of India’s most talented Wedding Planners has been invited as a speaker to the Cannes Lions 58th International Festival of Creativity 2011- to speak on ‘Planning a Royal Indian Wedding’, a rare honour and a first in the Indian Wedding Industry. The invitation has come from the international advertising company Wieden + Kennedy which is organizing a workshop/ seminar during the Cannes Ad festival, the premier event for creative leaders around the world.
The Cannes Lions learning program features 57 world-class seminars across seven days inside the Palais des Festival. Thought-leaders and experts in all forms of communications and creative thinking get together to inspire, debate and entertain at the Festival. The seminar ‘Planning: By People who aren’t ‘Planners’ will aim to get practical insights and ideas from creative leaders. So rather than ask planners (advertising) about planning, the agency has brought together a group of people who have to plan- rigorously, creatively, imaginatively but who are from outside the small world of advertising. While Gurleen speaks about ‘How to Plan a Royal Indian Wedding’ the other speakers at the same seminar include Lt Colonel Chris Paton from the Royal Marines who’ll speak on ‘How To Plan Military Operations In Afghanistan’, Jennifer Lyon Bell, Erotic Filmmaker of Blue Artichoke Films will speak on ‘How To Plan For Real Chemistry’ and Kat Clark, Head of Campaign Communication, Greenpeace will talk about ‘How To Plan Non-Violent Intervention’.
